Pick a standard to size, crop and compress every photo to that document's rules.
Cuts the person out with a portrait matting model and paints everything behind them the background colour above. It handles a real room, not just a plain wall. The model is about 25 MB and downloads the first time you tick this — on your device, once, and then cached for offline use. Nothing is uploaded.
The model is unavailable, so a simpler matte floods in from the edges of the frame instead. It needs a plain, evenly lit wall: raise the tolerance if patches of wall survive, lower it if the edges of the hair start to go.
The app checks format, dimensions and file size only. It cannot judge the lighting or how your face is framed, and it never decides whether a photo will be accepted — look at the result before you use it.
